YIKES

so... a few months ago- we started to try to only let Tallon have his paci in the crib at night and during naps and well... it worked.... for awhile- except there were those days when he did not feel well or was tired and I am trying to cook dinner, etc, etc and so I would let him have his paci- anyways - all that to say- Yesterday evening Tallon brings me his paci except the paci is missing the nipple (evidently he has used this paci so much he either A- bit threw the paci nipple or B- somehow the paci nipple came detached (only problem is you could still see part of where the nipple was attached so who knows??!)- THIS WAS THE LAST PACIFIER IN OUR HOME!! Yes- you read right- no more pacifiers located here and I figured that with Tallon turning 2 in a few weeks- now might be the chance- to get him totally off of his paci-

so...we are less than 24 hrs out from the last time Tal had a paci and it has been slightly stressful- Tallon did not fall asleep until 11 last night (and that was in bed with his mommy) and he just spent 48 minutes crying... well... SCREAMING... but hey- he is finally asleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so... I am hopeful and praying that this transition will cont to go well and that I will stand Tall (and not buy anymore pacifiers!!!!!!!)

Oh, poor Sweet "T"...and poor Rebecca. Be strong- you can get through this!!! But believe me, I know how hard it can be. Makgill still talks about the day that Mommy cut the nipples off his pappy. He'll probably be in therapy one day. Give him extra hugs and kisses from all of us.

Wow! This is a big transition for the little guy. I know he will do great with just a little time. Time, of course, is a relative term because "a little time" can seem like an ETERNITY when you have a screaming child. I hope that in just a few days the paci is a distant memory!

I feel your pain! Giving up the paci can be hard! Eli's are going to disappear when we get back from Alaska in a couple of weeks...Good luck...Keep us updated! We miss you and enjoy your blog. It seems like you have many good friends in SC and we are so happy for you!

Oh how hard for both of you. Stay strong and know that this too shall pass...yes, I know easier said then done. Just think...by the time he heads off to CLEMSON he will be paci free:) I got luck on this one...the boys just stoped taking the paci one day...however, Parker is very much a thumb sucker :( I fear he very well could go off to CLEMSON sucking his thumb! Good luck to the 3 of you. You can do this. Wish I had some grand words of wisdom to share with you. m
