Happy Birthday Nana

qMy Nana turns 79 on July 28th and we celebrated her birthday tonight with a DELICIOUS fried shrimp, twice baked potatoes, and salad dinner with chocolate chip cookies to complete the meal. Tal kept asking where the cake was but he was content eating skittles and a cookie!Tallon helped finger paint flowers on a pot to give Nana-he was very proud of his gift!

There is something special about my Nana and Papa. One of my favorite things about moving back to SC was that I would be able to see them more often and that Tal would be able to really know them. Growing up, they lived almost 10 hrs away so we only got to see them 2-3 times a year but I always looked forward to our visits with them. They are just "special" and I love them both soo much! I think Tallon adores them as much as I do. He loves to go see Nana and Papa and although he is stingy with hugs- he usually greets them with a smile and a high 5 for Papa and then quickly heads either to the cabinet where Nana keeps a few "Tal friendly toys"or outside to throw the ball and play with Bama (their dog)!
Tallon LOVES his Nana!Showing Nana the flowers he painted on the pot!

Liz and Mom made these cute little baby wipes holders yesterday!
Mom and her 2 girls!
Tallon is so proud of his big boy underwear- he was showing Papa his firetrucks ( 1 of his FAVORITE set of underwear)Papa pointed to Tal's belly button and asked Tallon- "What's this" (expecting Tal to respond Belly button).... what did Tal say........ MY BABY!
Silly boy- Mommy has the baby in her belly- but you can not tell him that!

Tallon LOVES Uncle Mike and followed him around the house everywhere yesterday!

We ended the night with a card game.
Well, Tallon and I watched Lion King!

and Tallon took a few breaks to play his own version of cards with Mimi!It was a fun evening of celebrating Nana and hanging out with Family. we are really sad that Uncle Mike and Aunt Liz have to go home today!!

5 Months

This pregnancy seems to be flying by. I was so excited when my sister-in law Aron and her husband Collin were willing to take some pictures of this stage of my pregnancy! Thanks soo much you guys!!! These are definitely WAY BETTER than if Reeves had taken them for me=) =)
We had a blast hanging out and Tal enjoyed playing with Mak and Clara Beth!
Baby girl still does not have a name although I think we have narrowed it down to either Tait or Tess. We have been calling her Tess lately so I think it might stick but just am not ready to definitely say that is her name yet! She is quite a mover and I am LOVING being able to feel her kick and move around in my belly! I don't have any Ultrasound pics this time but wanted to post a few of my fav's from our session this AM.I absolutely LOVE these of Tallon and I. He is really sweet and loves to talk to and give baby sister kisses. He still will quickly tell you there is a baby in his belly also. Not sure what will happen when we come home with only ONE baby!!=)

oh and don't worry.... Collin gave me permission to post these on the blog so they are completely legit and I will happily give credit where credit is due=) there are a TON more pictures on his blog also- for some reason they are coming up small on my blog so check them out here.

Fun Stuff

ok- so I don't have long to post but check out my brother-in-law's website. He took some AMAZING photos of my 20 week baby belly, Tallon and I this morning. Thank you soo much Collin. I am having a hard time narrowing them down to my favorites bc I LOVE THEM ALL!!! I will post some of them to my blog when I get back home. We are off to my parent's home to celebrate my Nana's 79th Birthday!!!

Also- to add to all the excitement of the day... We sold our house yesterday ( after only 7 days on the market and now our offer on the home we were wanting to buy- went through!!) YEAH! August is looking to be a busy month since we close on Aug 22nd!!

JULY

July has been a BUSY month for us. On July 2nd- I read someone's blog about how they let their son run around the house naked and it helped him potty train so I decided to give it a go ( even though we were supposed to leave July 4th to go to the beach for the week with my parents). Well, it worked- Tallon ran by me while in the house ( running around with no clothes on) yelling- " gotta go poopy" and where did he head...... Right to the toilet---- WHEW- round 1 done- poopy in potty- HOORAY!! so sort of potty trained- we headed to the beach with my parents. We just let Tallon run around the condo with underwear on and he did SURPRISINGLY well and now I am please to say that we are in BIG BOY UNDERWEAR all day long ( including naps). still wearing a pull-up at night- time, but that is OK with me!! My parents were a huge help and encouragement to Tallon and I ( in the whole potty training process that week)- Thanks mom and dad!! so now that the BIG announcement is over- on to our week at the beach. I had "supposedly" fixed my camera only to turn it on at the beach and it not work AGAIN!!! Thankfully, my dad had his camera- so we took plenty of pictures! He has even agreed to let me "borrow" his camera until I figure out what to do with mine!! THANKS DAD!!!

Reeves got to spend the weekend at the beach with us- well, we were at the beach but we prob only spent a grand total of 4 hrs MAX ON the beach- Tallon is NOT a beach fan- he LOVES the pool though and is quite the fish!!

Tallon thought he was such a big boy in his goggles!!

This is how mom and I spent a good bit of the week- bouncing back and forth watching Tallon go from hot-tub to lazy river then back to hot-tub and then to pool! This kid wore himself out swimming every morning and evening!! Quite the fish!

Somebody ADORES his Daddy!!

Our little fish!

The only picture I have of the beach- we managed to get Tallon out to beach 2 mornings to play in sand while the pool was closed for cleaning!!

Tallon playing with Pop's hat!

Pop carried us to the Waccattee Zoo in Socastee 1 day ( we all needed a break from the pools!!) I have never heard of this zoo but it was really cool- LOTS of animals and most of the zoo was in the shade which was really nice!! We forgot to get the stroller out of the car before Reeves' left so Tallon did LOTS of walking ( and riding on Pop and Mimi's back and shoulders!)
There were peacocks EVERYWHERE- soo pretty!

I can not get over how "big" my little boy looks in the above picture!!

With the deer

Pop with the camel

Enu's

Checking out the zebra's

Riding on Pop's shoulder- we are truly blessed to have such hands on grandparents.
My dad is soo patient with Tallon- he lets him help him mow grass or fix whatever ( even when I am sure it takes him atleast twice as long to get the job completed!!)

We went to broadway 1 day and Tallon played in the "splash pad"
being silly

We recuperated for a few days at home and than Reeves had a training conference in Atlanta this past Friday thru Tuesday so I headed down to the lake with my parents for the weekend. It was soo nice to have help with Tallon and to see my sister and her husband who are in town from Kentucky. Let's just say that Tallon LOVES his Uncle Mike and Aunt Liz.
Pop bought Tal some worms so he could "really fish"- hook and all- thankfully- no one got hurt in the baiting, casting and reeling in and Tallon found a good bit of amusement out of the worms!!!

Showing his new buddy "Uncle Mike" a worm!!

Tallon constantly asks to 'go on the boat"- this kid LOVES the water!!

Helping Mimi make icing and ice the cake

YUMMY!

We are now back home and ready for Reeves' to return from his training. It has been a busy but FUN month- I am not sure where this summer has gone to.

Baby Update: I am now 20 weeks along!!! I can not believe I am halfway thru this pregnancy. Baby girl is quite the mover and I am loving being able to feel her move around!! Last weeks Dr visit and ultrasound went well- only gained 4 lbs so far ( I am keeping my fingers crossed- we shall see!) and baby girl looked healthy and "perfect" as the ultrasound tech said!! I can not wait to meet this new little one!!! Although I think Tal is going to be in for some MAJOR adjustments!! He is used to getting all the attention so this could be an interesting winter!

6 Years

Reeves and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary this past Sunday (June 29th) . In some ways, it feels like we have been married forever, but I still so vividly remember our wedding day and it feels like it just happened! I must say.... these 6 yrs have been AWESOME and it is fun to reflect on everywhere that God has taken us and how He has provided for us! Reeves was asked to officiate a wedding on Saturday in CLEMSON so we took advantage of the opportunity and left Tallon with my parents for the weekend while we got away. He has officiated several weddings but this is the 2nd one I got to go to. The rehearsal dinner was soooooo yummy (can you tell I am pregnant!) and at a really nice restaurant in Clemson (Calhoun Corners). Then Saturday- we slept in, spent the rest of the morning walking around the campus where I spent 4 yrs of my life ( sooo FUN!) and then chilled out until the wedding. After the wedding, we headed in to downtown Greenville to eat at 1 of our fav restaurants ( from our dating days)! It was so fun getting to just hang out and talk with my husband ( without a 2 1/2 yr old around interrupting us)! We talked about the "covenant" that we made to each other and before God 6 yrs earlier ~ How grateful and thankful I am for the man God has blessed me with! !can you see the baby "bump"! (16 weeks)
and... Doesn't my husband look handsome!

Reeves has a "thing" for grass- he absolutely LOVES
the grass in football stadiums for some reason!

Sunday- we went to church and headed home to see the little boy that we both MISSED LOTS!!
Thanks mom and dad for keeping Tal for us!
