Genesis 2:18

"The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
June 29, 2002

Ephesians 5:31
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."

Monkeys, Giraffes and Gorillas

Definitely the TOP THREE of Tallon's favorite animals today at the Zoo. We finally found some time to use Mimi and Pop's Christmas present to Tal- a season pass to the zoo!! and Tallon LOVED it!! We all enjoyed spending the morning casually strolling the zoo and checking out the animals! I loved watching Tal's face as he would see a new animal and how he would wave hi and bye to each one!! sooo cute=) This kid may not be very verbal but he definitely loves to wave and say " Hi" and "Bye"!Tallon wore his outfit with the monkey and giraffe on it! I wish this picture could show his cute little determined walk- he is turning into such a BIG BOY!

Tallon and Daddy pausing to chat for a minute!
They had such a good time today- Tallon just adores his daddy and stayed right beside him most of the morning!

Tallon LOVED the giraffe's- it took several attempts before we got him to part ways and go check out the next animal. 1 Giraffe was over close to where we were at the fence- he was trying his best to reach this limb with some leaves on, but he could not quite reach it- but he would come up and Tallon would see him and get ALL EXCITED and than the giraffe would duck back down and Tallon would turn his hands ( his way of saying "where did he go") and say "uh-oh" and than get all excited when the giraffe popped back up again!! Fun Times at the Zoo playing with this giraffe!

Following closely beside his daddy! How thankful I am that Reeves is such a good example of Our Heavenly Father to Tal!

Elephants!

Tallon and mommy looking for the Tiger- who must have been hiding somewhere cool because we never saw him and it sure was HOT today!
(Check out Tallon's hands- he was looking for an animal- just could not find one!)

Ostrich!
On the tram ride back to our car- look at those eyes- this little boy was EXHAUSTED!

Heather

I have been praying for a while for a woman named Heather! I found her blog thru a friend's blog. She has 3 young children and was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her story and God's faithfulness to her and her family is amazing and has been very encouraging to me! Check out her blog here.

Friends and Chick-Fil-A

Father's Day Weekend

We headed down to the lake this weekend- both my Papa and my dad were there so it was fun to spend time with them. My brother and his wife drove in from Birmingham for the weekend which was soo fun- they are still the "newlyweds" and are moving into their new home in 2 weeks so it was nice getting to catch up with them as we have not seen them since their wedding last December! We missed my sister and her husband but are ALL looking forward to spending a week at the lake in less than a month!!! Oh- Tal is going to LOVE IT- 2 aunts and uncles- all ready to spoil him and play chase and other fun games!! He totally loved Uncle Robert and Aunt Tiffany!!

Nana and Tiffany sitting on the porch and relaxing!

playing cards- an Adams family tradition!

Tallon loved playing with Aunt Tiffany!

Pop (That is what Tallon is calling my dad right now) taught Tallon how to fish this weekend- my little boy LOVED IT!

Catfish time! Papa is famous for his catfish and Tallon LOVED it- he kept finishing his piece and going back asking for "More, More"!
I can not believe I did not get any pictures of Tal with his Daddy! Oh, how he loves "da-da!" Thank you for being such a wonderful husband and father Reeves!

We ended the weekend by heading to the airport to pick up LiLi and Boom-Boom who are back in SC after spending a week in California!

So it was a wonderful weekend, and so nice to get to see all our dad's on Father's day!! We are so thankful for the Godly heritage you have given to us and Tal and for the time you spend investing in Tallon's life!!

Exhaustion

These pictures were taken a few nights ago when Tallon had had enough and was ready to go to bed- He crawled up on the couch next to his daddy and was asleep within minutes!! He is such a busy little boy during the day that he is worn out by bedtime

"CHEESE"-
I love that smile!

Night Night

One simple word- "Night," and we say it to Tallon every night as we put him down to sleep- "Night Night" and tonight- Tallon said it back!!!!!!! I don't tend to be a sentimental mom but I grabbed the camera and followed Reeves and Tallon into Tal's room to see if I could catch it on video and... WE DID!!!! It might be my new favorite video of Tal!

Fun with Cousins

Tal's Aunt Aron was kind enough to take in a 4th child under the age of 3 yesterday morning since Linda was not feeling well- She took some great pictures of Tal playing with his cousins and I loved hearing ALL that happened while we were gone! Thanks again for watching Tallon and let us know when you guys want to get away and we will happily keep Makgill and Clara Beth! Check out her post here
It is absolutely hilarious!

5th Anniversary

On June 29th- Reeves and I will celebrate our 5th Anniversary! We decided that we needed to get away and relax some so we planned a trip to the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge for our anniversary! It was wonderful- we spent 4 nights and 5 days on Amelia Island while our parents and family watched Tallon- Thanks soo much everyone- sorry you all got sick!!!! I had no clue Tal had a bug?!?!

We have stayed at several bed and breakfast over the years but this one was excellent and I highly recommend it. Our room was beautiful and you did not have to get up and be at a table by a certain time for breakfast- just anytime between 7 and 10 AM and you could eat breakfast anywhere- we spent all of our mornings on the porch eating while we listened to the waves from the ocean. They also had plenty of lemonade, water and cookies available throughout the afternoons with beach chairs already waiting on the beach. Heavy Hors d' oeuvres were served from 6-7 so we pretty much just ate breakfast every morning, had a snack and than appetizers at the lodge before heading out to a nice dinner! If you know me- I love to relax with a good book and I especially enjoyed being able to do this on the beach! It was wonderful and both Reeves and I feel relaxed and ready to take on parenting, our jobs and life again!!

Chuck E Cheese

Our Parenting Small Group had a pool party planned for this afternoon, but unfortunately a tropical storm is making its way across South Carolina and we had rain ALL DAY. We made the most of it though and headed to Chuck E Cheese (along with everyone else in our city). This was Tallon's second visit to Chuck E Cheese ( the first was when he was about 3 months old for a friend's birthday party). I have sort of tried to keep him away for as long as possible! =)
It was fun seeing all the kids and Tallon enjoyed riding in a moving car with Chuck E Cheese and helping daddy play a few games!! We have met some amazing couples and I am so thankful for the friendships that we are developing!

Sprinkler Fun at Li-Li and Boom-Boom's

We had a wonderful Thursday evening at Li-Li and Boom-Boom's home! Tallon, Makgill and Clara-Beth played in the sprinkler and with the water table and we enjoyed a yummy meal outside and than had home-made ice-cream- Tallon finished his first bowl and said "Mo, Mo Psss" *meaning More, More Please- this kid LOVES ice-cream!

I took a BUNCH of pictures and Collin, Aron and Linda all were checking out my new camera so a few of the pictures were taken by them- I had a hard time picking out my favorites because so many of them turned out great and showed how FUN the evening was with family!! Enjoy the slideshow!
