On June 29th- Reeves and I will celebrate our 5th Anniversary! We decided that we needed to get away and relax some so we planned a trip to the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge for our anniversary! It was wonderful- we spent 4 nights and 5 days on Amelia Island while our parents and family watched Tallon- Thanks soo much everyone- sorry you all got sick!!!! I had no clue Tal had a bug?!?!
We have stayed at several bed and breakfast over the years but this one was excellent and I highly recommend it. Our room was beautiful and you did not have to get up and be at a table by a certain time for breakfast- just anytime between 7 and 10 AM and you could eat breakfast anywhere- we spent all of our mornings on the porch eating while we listened to the waves from the ocean. They also had plenty of lemonade, water and cookies available throughout the afternoons with beach chairs already waiting on the beach. Heavy Hors d' oeuvres were served from 6-7 so we pretty much just ate breakfast every morning, had a snack and than appetizers at the lodge before heading out to a nice dinner! If you know me- I love to relax with a good book and I especially enjoyed being able to do this on the beach! It was wonderful and both Reeves and I feel relaxed and ready to take on parenting, our jobs and life again!!

Congratulations on your 5th anniversary!!! I loved seeing your pictures of Amelia Island because Eric and I went there last year. We stayed at the Addison (also a bed and breakfast) which was in the historic district. It was cool to see your pictures of the fort because we have a lot of the same pictures! Congrats again!
Happy Anniversary!!! That is so neat that you got to hang out at the beach for several days with just the two of you. How fun!
Sounds absolutely marvelous. So glad for your getaway and love-fest in celebration of your 5 years of marriage!
I'm so glad y'all had such a great trip! The pictures are beautiful. It looks like a wonderful place! Congratulations on 5 years!
So fun! Congrats on five years, sweet friends.
The Early American History teacher in me would have loved Fort Clinch!
Thanks for sharing the pics!
