Pool Party

Heidi, Jason and Connor and Callie invited our Bible study small group over for a pool party last Sat night! We had a blast- grilling out hamburgers and hotdogs, splashing in the pool and running around the yard! They have such a GREAT home for entertaining and we are really going to miss you guys when you move!!! Thanks again for having us over!

Welcome Home

Uncle Collin, Aunt Aron, Makgill and Clara Beth went to the beach this past week! Tallon was soo excited when he saw that they were back home again!! We are glad you guys had a good time !Fun Times at LiLi and Boom- Boom's with the whole clan back together again!
You can't have a meal without Oreo's to finish it off! The kids definitely ENJOYED their oreos!

Lake Fun with Family

It has been a crazy month for us- we spent part of the week after July 4th at the beach with my parents, came home for a few days and than headed off last Friday for a full week at the Lake with my entire family! Reeves had to travel back to Florence for work so we really missed him but were thankful he got to spend 2 days with us at the lake.
My brother and his wife live in Alabama and my sister and her husband live in Kentucky so needless to say, we don't get to see them very often at all and were THRILLED to get to spend a week with them! Tallon loved all his aunts and uncles and totally enjoyed playing and swimming with everyone!

Our little boy has become quite the little fish this summer. It is hard to believe that he SCREAMED the first time we made him wear his lifejacket on the boat. Now you can not hardly get him out of the lifejacket... or the boat! We are very blessed because my parent's lake house is located across from part of the wildlife refuge so it does not get very crowded on the water at all. There was hardly any other boats out so Tallon got to enjoy "cruising" on the jet ski with his daddy, Pop, Mimi and uncles and he also went on his first float ride ( with Daddy or Pop and VERY SLOW!) He kept saying "I wanna go" anytime anybody else was on the float so I gave in and he did great! Before you think I am a bad parent- we would NOT let our child do this if there were other boats out on the lake!!

Pop carried a slide down to the lake and Tallon thoroughly enjoyed sliding into the water- here are some fun videos!

Zoo Fun

Last Thursday morning, we packed up our gear of strollers, sippy cups, snacks, and toddlers and headed off to the zoo (in 4 packed cars)!! Thanks soo much for planning this Jennie and Carlisle! We had 9 kiddos among us- ages ranging from 14 months to 3 1/2! What a fun morning it was and we are already looking forward to our August adventure at Edventure Children's Museum!



All the kiddos LOVED the aquarium and watching the bright colored fish!

These 2 boys were the only boys (besides Makgill and Parson who are both 3 1/2) among all the girls in their age group- I think they are going to be GREAT BUDS! they both are very active and LOVE LOVE LOVE outdoors!!
Even as the youngest (for the time being!), Clara Beth (14 months) LOVED the zoo!

Luke and Tallon checking out something?! We loved getting to hang out with Mrs. Julie and Luke- Luke and Tal are pretty close in age and we are looking forward to lots more adventures with these 2!

On our way back to the cars after a FUN morning, now.. on to Chick-Fil-A for lunch!Makgill was the last to fall asleep in our car- it was a very peaceful ride home!

BEACH TIME

We headed down to Myrtle Beach last Friday evening to spend part of my parent's beach week with them. Reeves was only able to stay until Sunday evening, but Tallon and I enjoyed the beach until Tuesday afternoon! We ALL had a blast. This was Tallon's 2nd time to the beach since he was born (he was only 6 months when we visited last time) and he loved it!! We were blessed with some overcast days which made it nice to be on the beach with a toddler.

Some Facts I do not want to forget about this trip and age (22 months)

- Tallon is now speaking a few sentences- mostly-I want More (sounds more like iwunmo) and I want down (Iwondon)

- He loved running into the little pools of water on the beach and spashing- not into the waves at all, but loved the sand and destroying Reeves' hard built sand castles! He also enjoyed taking his boat and pushing it along the bottom of the water! soo cute=)

-Tallon LOVE LOVE LOVED the lazy river, hot tub and pool. We spent hours at the pool each morning before his nap and then he wanted to go back "outside"(sounds more like owside) as soon as he woke up!

-Tal was actually putting his head under water by Tues- he is quite the little swimmer with his swim vest on- I highly recommend this vest (made by Swim Ways)- my child is already learning how to kick his feet and paddle his arms to swim

- We found a smaller kid size float at the pool- someone must have left it- and Tallon played with it everyday- he loved to pull his arms up on it, then fall down and take 1 arm to lift the float over his head- he found this extremely funny!

-Tallon was extremely worn out from all of his hard swimming and on Mon evening- we let him out on the porch overlooking with pool and beach area with his pacifier- OOPS- the paci flew out of his hand- by accident- down into the pool! Luckily- we were able to recover it and he slept well Mon night!

- Tallon went on his 1st merry go round with Pop- HE LOVED IT and went into the terrible two's fit as soon as it stopped and he had to get off!

-Tallon ate boiled shrimp and ... kept asking for me- this kid is a fantastic eater (minus fruit)

We had a BLAST Mimi and Pop- Thanks soo much for feeding us, playing with Tallon and letting us come down to the beach! We are already looking forward to next year!

"18" MONTH SESSION

Uncle Collin came to the lake 2 weekends ago to do Tallon's 18 month session- Its about 2 1/2 months late but that is because I really wanted the pictures done at the lake=) They turned out AMAZING and now I just have to figure out which ones to get for his album ( YIKES- I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!!!) I am always amazed at how he captures Tal's personality soo well and just love watching this slideshow over and over=) My little boy is growing up soo fast and I am soo thankful to Collin for capturing this precious moments=) Check out the slideshow here!

Fun with Friends at the Lake

My parents were helping my brother and sister-in-law move into a new home this past weekend- so we took advantage of the empty lake house and headed down there with some friends- the Emert and the Smith Families! We had a blast- and enjoyed just lounging by the water while the kids played, skiing, tubing and going on boat rides... along with some delicious food!! We enjoyed getting to know everyone better and look forward to many more memories with these couples! We have really enjoyed our Parenting Study Small Group and are soo thankful for the friendships God is fostering among these couples!!
